My experience in Internet Marketing

This blog contains experiences that I gain as I start on this new business venture called internet marketing. It contains after-thoughts as I used some of the internet marketing tools and I am sure it could save you time and do not have to go through the same path as I have gone through. Of course, make full use of the positive experiences that is contained in this blog. It would be good for newbie, i.e. those who just started out this area called internet marketing.

About Derek Gehl Marketing Tips Messenger

I have subscribed to Derek Gehl's Marketing Tips Newsletter and download the Marketing Tips Messenger. The concept was good as it is a good way to bypass Anti-Spam software. What I don't like so far about the software is as follows:

1) No option to un-install
2) It is launched on start up. Something that I don't like because it will slow downmy computer.
3) What's more, there is no option to uncheck the option.
4) The worst thing is the free 61 minutes presentation url doesn't work which adds up to my dis-satisfaction

I am impressed with Site build it so far

So far so good. I have not regretted buying the product. I am into day 3 and I was impressed with the video that I could donwload and use. It gives me a better clarity of things.

Compared to Affilate Master that gives a good concept and process, it was done with tools that are free. With Site Build it, they have a series of tools that make the whole process easier. Somemore, they give you guidelines as to how you should set your criteria in terms of what is considered a profitable keywords. These are not available in Affiliate Master Guide.

The more important discovery is this. The affiliate master is written with the concept using free tools or DIY. It shows me the pain in creating the site. Then when I used Site Build It for the process, it was very easy and convenient. Really a time saver. There was one thing that pales in comparison though. The search for Googles supply of keywords were slow or disruptive, despite the fact that I have been forewarned and notification were given. When I make ths comment, I was comparing with the Adword equaliser which can do a more efficent job.

I finally know how to transit from preselling to monetizing the blog

I need to pen this down quickly before I forget all about it. I was reading this free-ebook called affiliate master which spoke about building a website to earn money. The concept in the book is about Content, Traffic, Preselling and Monetizing. Initially, I was quite unclear about the transition from preselling to monetizing the web site. Then I experimented with my Excel blog web site and I realised that this could be the key to the transition.

The idea is about providing information that your reader wants to hear or read. Initially, on my Excel blog, I was publishing information about how to use Excel so on and so forth. It was great. Then last week, as I was hard press for time, I started to write about the benefits of using pivot table. Then I began to notice something. As I write about the benefits about using pivot tables, advertisement about tibot table came out. That day, I earned a income of $0.05 cents but it was worth it. Because I realised that proving content and preselling do not have to be about showing them how to do it. Rather, it is about sharing the benefits and its application. If they are convinced about what you are sharing, they would naturally click on the advertisement that is related to the topic that you have written. That is preselling. The clicking on the advertisement was monetizing the blog. I can replace the advertisement with my own product and I am sure the response would have been better.
