Of course, make full use of the positive experiences that is contained in this blog. It would be good for newbie, i.e. those who just started out this area called internet marketing.

Surprised Bonus

Joel Comm is able to keep his customers excited by giving away bonus even after the purchase.

I was not very impressed at the eBook on Adsense that I read. I guess it's because I know quite a fair bit about Adsense.

I will also write about How I managed to save 50% off Joel Comm IAT.

I near lost my scores in Adwords

I nearly lose my score in Adwords just because of 1 keyword. I purchase a keyword called impromptu which is known to me as a report writer. There were a lot of impressions for the keyword but nobody clicked on my ad. I was very puzzled why nobody is interested in my ad. I have an above average click through for other words using the same ad. So I went to search the web using the keyword and was surprised to discovere that the keyword also have other meaning to other users. I immediately stopped advertising using the keyword. Why did I say losing my score in Adwords. If I don't get a good click through, Google will penalise me and that means the next time I set up another campaign, I would have to have to pay more per click because of my histroy here.

How do Google evaluate relevance

No matter how big google is, they are not the masters of all trade. So I suspect that their benchmarks of relevance comes from the websites that spidered. In fact, if the website has a high traffic and they talk about Excel, the keyword used in that page could become the criteria they used to evaluate other websites.

Google Sitemap

I went to Google sitemap to look at the details and this is what I found:

1) Google keep tracks on the position of the keywords from the various locations.
2) The position changes all the time. The average position is just an indication.
3) To find out more, you must download the query including the query for subfolders. THe option is "Download all query stats for this site (including subfolders)"
4) You will see the position of the website in the different google search engine in different coutnries.
5) Yet to find out how to rank high on a particular market.
6) my advanced Excel website still contains very little info about searches from Google because I am not in the radar yet. The reason being that the topic I am writing about is too generic. And the fact that I write in a different perspective make Google think that what I am writing is not relevant to Excel
7) It is difficult if not possible to track the position of the website in Google. If anyone claim that they can do SEO and make the website ranking in the top 10 position, they are doing for a specific market only. It also does not mean that you will get any traffic.
8) I am sure Google spider visit different country search engine with different time interval. This mean that US could be a well visited site while an ulu country will be visited less often. On the other hand, google may pay more visits to other countries more often because their are less website to visit.
9) In fact, now I see that page rank is not that important but rather links should have more relevance.
10) The conclusion. Website is for the mass market (or the world) because we do not know how the web page will turn out in different markets. It is a very tedious task to monitor ranking in different countires for a particular keyword.
11) The strategy should take into account country specific targets as well as keywords specific targets. The maturity of the searchers plays a important part in the search engine market.
